In a Family, when a person is deceased in order to declare who are the Legal Heirs of deceased person, Legal Heirship Certificate is issued. The Certificate is issued for getting the appointment under Compassionate grounds, mutation of records in respect of the properties, to recover the mortgaged jewel from the bank, to Accident relief, Chief Minister’s Public Relief financial assistance to the welfare of the Weaker section in the Society and Financial Assistance in respect of the Labour Welfare Board respectively.

In the G.O. No. 478 Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Revenue Administration Wing RA3(2) dated, 29.09.2022 orders have been issued that in a family who should be declared as Legal Heirs of the deceased person. According to that,

  1. Aadhar identity of the Applicant
  2. Smart Card
  3. Death Certificate
  4. Aadhar identities of the Legal Heirs
  5. In case of any of the Legal Heir is not alive, then Death Certificate of that person
  6. In Case the adopted child is the Legal Heir, then legal Evidence
  7. Photo
  8. In Case the Legal Heirs are Children, then their Birth Certificate
