Eligibility:

  1. Applicant must be a widow.
  2. Monthly income should not exceed Rs.4000.
  3. Must not have an earning male child above 18 years of age.
  4. There should be no assets in the name of the applicant or in the name of the applicant's husband.
  5. Should be financially destitute.

Documents to be uploaded on the website:

  1. Death certificate of husband
  2. Legal heir Certificate / no re-marriage certificate
  3. Income certificate/ Widow Certificate
  4. Aadhaar / Smart Card
  5. Village Administrative Officer’s Certificate of no assets
  6. Applicant’s Photo Apply online with the above documents.

Competent Authority: This certificate is issued online by the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer.

Aspects to be observed by Tahsildar during inspection:

  1. Does the petitioner have financial support from her maternal/ paternal family? Is there financial support from petitioner's husband's family?
  2. Scrutiny of petitioner's bank account statement
  3. Details of occupancy of the house in which the petitioner resides
  4. Circumstances in which the petitioner goes about her day-to-day life
